Hoegaarden (Witbier)

APPEARANCE: 3/3
Straw/pale yellow color. White, persistent, foamy head. Wheat haze.

AROMA: 3/4
Spicy, earthy. Some pineapple notes.

TASTE: 9/10
Hop/Malt Balance: 3.5/4: Malty, not terribly hoppy. Refreshing.
Aftertaste: 2.75/3: Clean, spicy finish, fades to bitterness. Coriander, some bubblegum notes.
Mouth-Feel: 2.75/3:
Effervescent, bubbly, fresh.

OVERALL: 3/3: Classic wit–the standard.

TOTAL: 18/20–Keep 'Em Comin'

NOTES:
Matt: Always refreshing–the first thing I reach for when I want a good witbier (though they shaft you on the 10 oz. bottle).
Ben: A good beer for a hot day.
